В последние годы отмечается увеличение уровня эмоциональной напряженности и социальной тревожности среди студенческой молодежи, в том числе в Российской Федерации, что обусловливает необходимость изучения механизмов восприятия угроз и формирования субъективных представлений о личной безопасности в студенческой среде.</p></sec><sec><title>Цель</title><p>Цель. Исследование направлено на раскрытие содержания и установление факторов субъективно воспринимаемой личной безопасности студентов российских вузов.</p><p>Методология, методы и методики. Эмпирическую базу исследования составили собранные в рамках смешанной методологии последовательного типа (qual-QUANT) качественные (12 интервью, целевой отбор) и количественные (n = 415, квотный отбор) данные на выборке студентов трех российских вузов.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. В большей степени студенты опасаются прямых угроз жизни и физическому здоровью, затем – угроз ментальному благополучию, и меньше всего их волнуют отложенные угрозы, связанные с воздействием внешнесредовых (экологических) факторов риска на здоровье. Подтверждено наличие гендерного разрыва в субъективном восприятии угроз жизни и здоровью. Для изучаемой группы характерен высокий уровень субъективно оцениваемой защищенности от внешних угроз, восприятие своей жизни как стабильной и предсказуемой. Кластерный анализ позволил выделить три группы студентов по критерию субъективной личной безопасности: ощущающие себя в безопасности (39 %); ощущающие себя в небезопасности (16 %); ощущающие себя в неопределенном состоянии (45 %). Обнаружено, что студенческая молодежь воспринимает непредсказуемые и слабо контролируемые события наиболее угрожающими их жизни и здоровью, но ответственность за обеспечение безопасности возлагает чаще на себя, а не на социальные институты и государство.</p></sec><sec><title>Научная новизна</title><p>Научная новизна. Исследование ставит под сомнение тезис о доминировании алармистских настроений среди российской молодежи и интенсивном распространении страхов за собственную безопасность. Теоретическая концептуализация субъективного восприятия безопасности расширяет подходы и формирует основу для дальнейших исследований.</p></sec><sec><title>Практическая значимость</title><p>Практическая значимость. Исследование предоставляет данные для совершенствования программ в сфере здоровья и адаптации уязвимых групп к рискогенной среде.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Introduction</title><p>Introduction. In recent years, there has been a rise in emotional tension and social anxiety among students, including those in the Russian Federation. This trend underscores the need to study the mechanisms of threat perception and the development of subjective notions of personal safety within the student community.</p></sec><sec><title>Aim</title><p>Aim. This study aims to reveal the content and identify the factors inﬂuencing the subjectively perceived personal safety of students at Russian universities.</p><p>Methodology and research methods. The empirical foundation of the study comprises qualitative data (12 interviews, purposive sampling) and quantitative data (n = 415, quota sampling) collected from a sample of Russian university students using a sequential mixed-methods approach (qual → QUANT).</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. To a large extent, students fear direct threats to life and physical health, followed by concerns about mental well-being, while they are least worried about deferred threats related to the impact of environmental risk factors on health. A gender gap in the subjective perception of threats to life and health has been conﬁrmed. The study found that the group under consideration exhibits a high level of perceived protection from external threats and views their lives as stable and predictable. Cluster analysis identiﬁed three groups of students based on subjective personal safety: those who feel (a) safe (39%), (b) unsafe (16%), and (c) uncertain (45%). It was also found that students consider unpredictable and poorly controlled events to be the most threatening to their life and health, yet they more often assume personal responsibility for ensuring safety rather than relying on social institutions or the state.</p></sec><sec><title>Scientiﬁc novelty</title><p>Scientiﬁc novelty. The current study challenges the thesis that alarmist sentiments prevail among Russian youth and that fears for their personal safety are spreading rapidly. The theoretical conceptualisation of the subjective perception of security broadens existing approaches and provides a foundation for further research in this ﬁeld.</p></sec><sec><title>Practical signiﬁcance</title><p>Practical signiﬁcance.
