GENERAL EDUCATION
Abstract. The aim of the presented article is the search for the factors that determine the results of the Unified State Exam (USE) in the Russian regions through the example of mathematics exam in 2013.
Methods. During the study of the exam results the authors applied the methodology of complex research, including methods of comparative and statistical analysis of published data on the results of the exam by Federal Center of Testing and Federal Institute for Education Measurement.
Results and scientific novelty. It was found that the exam results in the region depend not only on the level of students’ training, but on the quality of test materials and the discipline of the test procedures.
Practical significance. The authors suggest that the findings of this study will contribute to the improvement of techniques and technologies of the exam.
VOCATIONAL EDUCATION
Abstract. The present publication is devoted to overview and analysis of modern integration processes and their influence on educational system.
The aim of the publication is to reveal the main problems which the educational sphere in connection with the accruing globalization tendencies faces; to designate the ways of international cooperation in the field of the higher education.
Methods. The methods involve problem and comparative analysis, empirical observation, and data processing. Scientific works on the theory of integration, the concept of global education, culture of international communication have formed methodological base of studying of the considered problems.
Results and scientific novelty. The essence of a phenomenon of globalization is disclosed. The reasons of transformation of national education systems under the influence of globalization processes are described; the tendencies and spheres of this influence are analysed. The international experience of the solution of the arising problems in connection with globalization of education market and a general crisis of education is summarized. The features of development of professional training in a situation of interaction of cultures are considered; the forms and possibilities of international cooperation in the field of the higher education on the basis of integration of national and international achievements are pointed out.
Practical significance. The materials of the article can be useful to the researchers who are engaged in studying of aspects of globalization of world economic space and also specialists of management of education in case of development strategies of educational structures and separate organizations.
Abstract. Aim. The work is devoted to the study of the conditions of formation in the educational process on the subject «Analytical Chemistry and Physical Methods of Analysis», the most important competences necessary to the modern specialist in the food sector (production and examination of food quality technology) for food quality control and food safety of the population.
Methods. The basis of the organization of educational process on the considered discipline laid professionally-oriented approach. Innovative instruments for use in laboratory practice are created based on the model of interdisciplinary design, providing for the development of electronic resources by students. Evaluation of formation of competences was carried out using a three-tier model based on the well-known in pedagogics measurement systems of achievements of pupils: B. Blum’s taxonomy, V. P. Bespalko’s classification, etc. Indirect quality standard of efficiency of educational process was based on the surveys of students, teachers of specialized (professional) departments, and on comparison of student portfolios.
Results and scientific novelty. The complex of competences which development is promoted by a laboratory workshop on analytical chemistry and physicalchemical methods of the analysis is emphasized. The connections of these competences with content of the laboratory practical work providing the application of electronic resources optimizing labor-consuming routine transactions of an experiment and facilitating handling of its results are determined. The approbation of laboratory works and assessment of their efficiency in forming of various all-professional and professional competences is carried out.
Practical significance. Described experience of a laboratory practical work, developing innovative resources on the basis of student partnership formation and evaluation elements of the professional competencies can be used by various educational institutions in the system HE, HVE and SVE.
PSYCHOLOGICAL RESEARCH
Abstract. The aim of the article is to consider the psychological characteristics of involvement of youth in extremist community through the Internet.
Methods. The theoretical analysis and modeling were used as the main methods.
Results. The Internet is described as a means and space of psychological influence on young people, which can be both positive and negative. Absorption of teenagers, boys and young men, in a virtual space essentially converts their activity and, as a result, transform the leading activity, which in turn leads to different mental tumors. Three main effects from the exposure of the Internet are found out: «the effect of the goals of drift», mythology and «the effect of excitement»; their impact on the individual in each age periods is noted. Consideration of the main motivational reasons, taking into account the specifics of building human interaction with the environment made it possible to identify and describe the main types of behavioural patterns exhibited by young people on the Internet. The degree of activity of young people in the network is described from the perspective of integrated strategies of behaviour: information blocking, changes in the distance, control, transformations. Risk groups of users, the most susceptible to extremist manipulations are designated. «Vulnerability areas» of representatives of each group are summarized and described; a step-by-step algorithm of victims’ involvement in extremist communities by recruiters is described.
Scientific novelty of the present study consists in discussion of one of the most acute problems of the present – the changed conditions of a growing and socialization of younger generation; constant stay in network virtual space is an integral part of today’s existence, wherein unformed and immature person is very vulnerable to the influence of extremist content. To prevent the increased potential threat of involvement of young people in destructive, asocial and criminal activity, the authors suggest to draw close attention and to subject to the purposeful attacks of extremist communities. Detailed studying of social and psychological features of network behaviour of youth being affected by the dangerous content will help to provide well-timed prophylaxis of extremist moods among young people.
Practical significance. The materials of the research can be used to identify and effectively prevent the influence of extremist groups on young Internet users.
SOCIOLOGICAL RESEARCH
Abstract. The aim of the research is identification of the objective and subjective factors influencing professional self-realization of graduates of the field of study «Public and Municipal Administration».
Methods. The authors have conducted anonymous opinion survey of prestigious economic universities undergraduates (bachelor and master degree course) and graduates specialized in this sphere. The questions were about correspondence of gained academic qualification and actual occupation, the importance of degree certificate, satisfaction with education quality, attitude to different aspects of studying etc. In order to make relevant conclusions, the authors apply comparative, statistical, eneralization and induction methods.
Results. Informants’ answers helped to count out the percentage of graduates whose occupation is connected with public administration, understand the reasons of choosing relevant master course, assess the significance of acquired competence and qualification for job placement at governmental organizations. The main scientific result of the research is working out a system of recommendations aimed at increasing demand for graduates specialized in the sphere of civil service, and, consequently, improving the efficiency of investment in management training. It is specified that the most important issues in this regard are forethought of career choice, students’ vision of academic planning, and approach to teaching, practice-oriented type of education.
Scientific novelty. Having organized the data and compared it with previous surveys’ results, the authors reveal the factors essential to professional success and application of knowledge as well as correlation of these factors which means meeting the objective of the research.
Practical significance. The presented materials can be used for the further modernization of the process of educational planning and taken into notice while developing academic programs for the direction «Public and Municipal Administration».
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN EDUCATION
Abstract. The aim of the publication is to show the possibilities of use of open data in teaching courses of programming.
Methods. The results of adoption of the technique presented in the publication to the process of training in programming at the first year of the course «Program Engineering» are received by a comparative research and analysed by methods of descriptive statistics.
Results and scientific novelty. The technique of the use of open data sets when developing training and control tasks on programming for students of a bachelor degree of information and technological educational program specialization is offered; standard tasks templates are presented.
The application of open data in the educational purposes is a rather new direction in education that considerably enables to improve the quality of training of an expert in the field of computer sciences: to bring closer educational tasks to real; to increase variability of control tasks; to increase motivation of students. However, along with positive characteristics of the presented method, there are some difficulties of the method introduction in educational process. The authors have formulated the problems arising when using open data; possible ways of their decision are shown.
Practical significance. The results received during the research show the possibilities of further expansion of application of open data in education. The described practical experience of training in programming can be partially or completely used by teachers of other training courses.
Abstract. The aim of the article is the using of informational-computer technologies in learning English language of future specialists very effectively, as the didactic function of these technologies is wide. This is due to the fact that computer technology allows obtaining information multichannel, and therefore increases significantly as the volume of information received, and the quality of its assimilation.
Methods. Modern trends of modernization of educational programs demand introduction of modern methods of teaching. The increasing introduction of new information and computer technologies and application of the competence approach in educational process of Kh. A. Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University promotes increase of efficiency of process of English teaching. One of the urgent problems of training of specialists of international level is development of methods of using information technology in forming informational-communicative competence of future specialists.
Results. The relevance of this issue is determined, firstly, by the fact that information and computer technology implies a future specialist of new knowledge, skills, style of thinking which will provide necessary social adaptation to changes and guarantee its competitiveness on the labour market; secondly, necessity of perfection of the methodical-didactic organization of the process of professionally oriented training of future; thirdly, objective requirement of modern society in preparing professionals able to integrate into the world information space; fourthly, tendencies of a national educational policy.
Scientific novelty. One of the main challenges facing the system of training of future specialists is to improve the quality of professional training of students taking into account modern trends of development and use of information technology in professional activities. Worldwide there is a trend of using the computer as an integral means of studying particular scientific disciplines.
Practical significance. Information-communicative competence is considered as a system of internal resources necessary to build an effective communicative action in a range of situations of professional interpersonal and intercultural interaction. Professional communicative act involves the analysis and assessment of the situation, the formation of the purpose and operational structure of the action, the implementation of the plan or its correction, an evaluation of the effectiveness. Hence, informational-communicative competence is the ability to successfully using the English language, to act with it on the basis of practical experience, skill and knowledge in solving professional problems.
EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES
Abstract. The aim of the research is to reveal pedagogical conditions of students’ readiness to work in the system of distance learning for disabled children.
Methods. The methods involve theoretical methods (analysis, synthesis, specification, generalization, modeling) and empirical methods (diagnostical questionnaires, monitoring of students’ educational activity, methods of statistical data processing).
Results and scientific novelty. The components of readiness of future teachers for work in system of distance learning are structured; qualitative characteristics of each of these components are made. The levels of the specified readiness are determined; the pedagogical conditions of its development are designated. The model of formation of knowledge, skills of students in the field of distance education of pupils with special needs is offered.
Practical significance. The course «Distance Educational Technologies in the Work with Disabled Children» is worked out and implemented in the university educational process.
HISTORY OF EDUCATION
Аbstract. The aim of the publication is to show the importance of the system of religious education of the Russian Orthodox Church formed in Russia as the system that forms an outlook of the specific person and society in general. The relevance of the problem discussed in the article is caused by the fact that the ideas, moral ideals and values which are founded by an education system now in several years will be realized in specific affairs and acts.
Methods. The methods involve theoretical analysis of scientific literature on the considered problem, system analysis, generalization, modeling, survey.
Results and scientific novelty. The history of origin, development, decline and the subsequent revival of Sunday schools in Russia is described. Their positive role in the modern Russian system of religious education is noted; firstly, the forming of spiritual and moral values among younger generation, distribution and strengthening in society of moral standards.
The main directions of teaching and educational activities in modern Sunday schools and requirements to personal and subject results of training of pupils of schools are stated. These requirements are established by the standard approved by the Sacred Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church in the territory of the Russian Federation.
The history of spread of Orthodoxy in the Far East and development of the Vladivostok eparchy is briefly presented. The features of the organization of modern religious education and orthodox education of children are considered on the example of Sunday school of the parish of Temple of St. Seraphim of Sarov of the Vladivostok eparchy.
Practical significance. Activities of Sunday school are shown as the most available and mass form of studying and preserving orthodox traditions and cultural wealth.
CONSULTATIONS
Abstract. The aim of the present research is studying of the range, technical characteristics, and also price categories of micro earphones, the devices intended for simplification by the pupil of examination and distorting the level of knowledge on control activities.
Methods. The formalized interview is used as the main method of the research, i.e. a conversation on detailed developed program including a consistent design of seventeen closed and open questions, and also versions of possible answers.
Results. The suppliers and sellers of micro earphones were interviewed on the Internet by mobile communication. Besides, the analysis of the relevant information posted at discussion boards, social networks, etc. is carried out. Statistical material is processed, tabulated and visually demonstrated in charts. The obtained data allow us to estimate geography, specification of types, a technical and price variety of the technical means which are used by students to falsification of results of their education. The conclusion is drawn that this type of devices in the Russian market promptly extends and is in huge demand both with students and school pupils.
Scientific novelty. The opinions of suppliers and sellers regarding technical characteristics, harm to health and availability of micro earphones to pupils are studied for the first time. The range of offers and price range of these gadgets are analysed.
Practical significance. The present investigation can serve as informative basis while developing the recommendations and methods of fight against application of technical means for cheating using electronic technical means at various stages of control of knowledge. These measures are necessary for identification of actual, but not fictitious level of knowledge of pupils, and improvement of quality of education in higher education institutions and schools.
