Abstract

Introduction. Nowadays, regarding the 6thwave of technological innovations and emergence of a phenomenon «transfession», there is a need for modernization of the vocational staff training in our country. Transfession is a

type of the labour activity realized on the basis of synthesis and convergence of the professional competences that involve different specialized areas. Thus, the authors of the present article propose to use the professional and educational platform, developed by them, taking into account a specialists’ training specialty. The aims of the article are the following: to describe the phenomenon «transprofessionalism», to determine the initial attitudes towards its understanding; to present the block-modular model of the platform for the formation of the transprofessionalism of the teachers of the vocational school. Methodology and research methods. The research is based on the following theoretical and scientific methods: analysis, synthesis, concretization, generalization; hypothetical-deductive method; project-based method. The projecting of the transprofessionalism platform model was constructed on the basis of multidimensional, transdisciplinary, network and project approaches. Results and scientific novelty. The relevance of the discussed phenomenon in the productive-economic sphere is proved. The transprofessionalism requires a brand new content-informative and technological training of specialists. In particular, the concept «profession» has lost its original meaning as an area of the social division of labour during socio-technological development of the Russian economy. Therefore, transprofessionals are becoming more competitive and demanded in the employment market, being capable to perform a wide range of specialized types of professional activities. The structure, principles and mechanisms of the professional-educational platform functioning for transprofessionalism formation among the members of professional activities are presented. Heuristic opportunities for design of strategic academic units on the basis of transprofessionalism methodology are shown. Practical significance. The materials of the article can be useful for teachers, educators, educational supervisors and methodologists of the system of continued vocational education.

Abstract

Introduction. Modernization of education and formation of its content according to modern realities and the prospects of society development appear to be the most acute issues since the future of the country depends on their decision. The aim of the article is to justify the need to rely on the achievements of pedagogical science, the use of profound and fruitful scientific ideas of outstanding Russian scientists and pedagogues, and the participation of the pedagogical community when carrying out educational reforms. Methodology and research methods. The following theoretical methods were used: analysis of pedagogical and methodical literature, normative documents; historical, comparative, and logical analyses of the content of education; the forecasting. Resultsand scientific novelty. The article identifies two main areas in the choice of strategic goals of education. The future of Russia depends on the chosen direction. The first is the disclosure of the abilities of each student, the development of analytical abilities and critical thinking, the education of a person ready for life in a high-tech, competitive world. The second is to nurture a qualified consumer who can skillfully use the results of the creativity of others and ready for life in the so-called «skilled society». The first direction requires the presence of a fundamental education oriented to strategic perspectives; the second – utilitarian-practical education, oriented to today’s requests. The close interrelation of knowledge and skills is demonstrated on the basis of the concept of education content; wherein the key aspect is the idea of sociocultural experience broadcasting for the new generations. It is stated that a person without knowledge turns into a robot unable to act independently in critical situations. The feasibility of a reasonable combination of conservatism and innovation under the change of the education content and reforms implementation is approved. This highly sensitive and complex educational system requires «careful handling». The most effective management system is possible only through less interference into its internal processes; the imposition of fixed plans and schemes may carry the system destruction, as pointed out in the synergetic methodology thesis. Practical significance. The materials of the present research contribute to forecasting of possible scenarios of education development. The study results may be of interest both for methodologists and specialists of education management, teachers and lecturers of higher schools, i.e. all those who are interested in the prosperous future for the Russian education system, and for the country in general.

Abstract

Introduction. High level of ecological culture in modern society is the most important condition of self-preservation and sustainable development of a human civilization. The processes of globalization force to consider environmental problems with a support on polycultural practice, to take into account national and regional peculiarities in their integrity. Thus, there is the need of the international cooperation not only at the government level, but also at the levels of expert communities, separate groups of society and citizens of the country. Moreover, ecological culture is constantly highlighted in numerous studies, materials and documents of the international forums, summits and conferences of the UN and UNESCO. The aim of this publication is to present the authors’ didactic complex of development tools of ecological culture of students, and to show the potential of teaching foreign languages (on the example of French) for students’ ecological culture formation by means of development of cross-cultural communicative competence.  Methodology and research methods. Culturological approach has been chosen as a key approach for creation of integrative model of development of ecological culture. The methods involve: the system-based analysis of the content of ecological education; generalization of the theory and practice of implementation of the international strategies of ecological culture development and the analysis of efficiency of the pedagogical technologies intended for this purpose; modeling of the process of formation of ecological culture of students. The diagnostics of components of students’ ecological culture has been performed by means of internal questioning, observation, and comparative analysis of group interactions. Also, pedagogical ascertaining experiments, methods of pedagogical design for forms of the educational environment organization, design of the educational programmes, and methods of graphical representation of the research results have been involved. Results and scientific novelty. New principles for the development of ecological culture are singled out. It is stated that intercultural communication is becoming the main mechanism for ecological culture development. Selection of the most productive innovative pedagogical technologies of ecological competence formation of students is carried out. Based on the obtained students’ questioning data, the factors promoting the increase of the individual ecological culture level are defined. It has become clear that pupils attach the greatest importance to the participation in international ecological projects, ecological tourism and acquaintance with traditions of different nationalities; at the same time, the role of foreign languages knowledge, reading foreign non-translated sources on environmental issues, and, in general, the importance of cross-cultural communication are estimated by students at a very low level. The authors conclude that relatively little attention is drawn to the issues of ecological culture in the process of foreign languages learning in higher education institutions; students practically do not get the experience of intercultural interaction. The integrative didactic model of ecological culture formation among students is offered. Consequently, intercultural communication plays an important part in the development of ecological culture formation. The educational programme of the course «Development of Ecological Culture of Students in the course of Intercultural Communication in French» is designed on the basis of the proposed model; the results of its approbation are described. Practical significance. The materials of the article can be useful when updating the content of the discipline «Foreign Language», and improvement of the educational process at higher school aimed at the development of students’ ecological culture as well.

Abstract

Introduction. Nowadays, modern students graduate from higher education institutions in the conditions of unwarranted employment, and they are given full freedom of the professional choice after graduation. The aim of the research is to describe the process of the professional choice among graduates with an accredited bachelor degree as a prognostic task solution. Methodology and research methods. The research is based on the analysis and generalization of research literature on the issues of professional self-determination, the theory of anticipation, forecasting psychology, and modeling of predictive activity at the speech-thought level. The method of experiment was used as an empirical method wherein the predictive task was the stimulus material. Results and scientific novelty. The characteristic of a predictive task is given. The authors’ technique «Predictive Task: Professional Choice» is briefly presented; empirical data on professional intentions of graduates with a bachelors degree were collected during the approbation. The weakest links of the professional choice process among the students are revealed as follows: a lack of relevant system information for implementation of the professional choice; incompleteness  of professional self-identification and hypothetical thinking among students during their training in higher education institutions. Thus, the directions of further studies of professional self-determination of university graduates are planned: identification of psychological determinants; comparison of initial attitudes of employment of students of federal and regional higher education institutions; analysis of features of the professional choice of graduates of various specialties. Practical significance. The materials of the present research can form the basis for development of the practical recommendations to optimize pedagogical maintenance of professional self-determination of students of higher education institutions according to their education. In authors’ view, purposeful work on formation of professional identity and training of students in forecasting techniques is in need to reduce the contingent of the graduates who do not plan to find a job according to the specialty. Moreover, such fundamental work could lead to conscious professional self-determination and skills acquisition to cope with various professional tasks.

Abstract

Introduction. Nowadays, the problems of motivation of modern teachers and their valuable relation to the profession are actively being discussed in the scientific and pedagogical community. The changes in the relations between an employer and a teacher have been caused by the introduction of professional standards of the teacher and the extending practice of the conclusion of the socalled "effective contracts" between educational institutions and teachers. The aim of the present publication is to consider a phenomenon of professional commitment of teachers as a criterion of their psychological readiness for acceptance of new realities caused by the changed qualification competences having been imposed by the professional standard. Methodology and research methods. Comparative analysis and synthesis of the approaches to studying of a phenomenon of professional commitment existing in foreign psychology have been used. The empirical research of commitment of the Russian teachers to the profession was conducted on the basis of the authors’ method “The Questionnaire of Professional Commitment”. Statistical processing of the data obtained during the survey was carried out on the basis of the Statistica 7.0 program. The method of the factor analysis was applied. Results and scientific novelty. Yet, most studies in the field of the problematics of professional commitment have predominantly been carried out by foreign scholars. The attempt to describe the research experience on studying of professional commitment of the Russian teachers has been made for the first time ever. The proposed models of professional commitment are compared. It is proved that the structure of each model depends on professional and cultural diversity of a target group of a specific study. The specific features of psychological content of professional commitment of the Russian teachers are designated. Based on the systematized results of survey, the key structural components of teachers’ commitment can be listed as follows: “professional affectivity” (identification and emotional attachment to the chosen specialty, satisfaction with the calling, feeling of professional pride, acceptance of the goals and values), “professional stability” (feeling of resignation challenges, feeling of a professional duty), and “professional activity” (feeling of full-time commitment and complete dedication, spending free time and energy for the sake of professional self-realization). It has been concluded that teacher’s awareness to adopt strict professional obligations is followed by the feeling of enormous emotional expenditure of the chosen profession, being one of the reasons for the increased uneasiness and low readiness of teachers to introduction of the professional standard. Practical significance. The article provides an interpretation of the available information for a better understanding of the teacher professional commitment specifics. The materials of the present article can be useful when developing the programmes for educators’ commitment to the profession.

Abstract

Introduction. Development of the pedagogical toolkit for building national identity of young generation has a special significance in terms of modern globalization processes that weaken the national unity and national identity of many countries. Present-day Russian multicultural society is in the search of a meaningful content of the new Russian identity, which is supposed to serve as the basis of the country. In this regard, it is of vital importance to consider the effective experience of national identity development in countries characterized by an extended multicultural structure. The aim of the article is to study, put together and critically assess productive international approaches, methods and technologies for building of university students’ national identity acceptable in the Russian higher education system. Methodology and research methods. The methodology is based on the personal identity theory, the concept of national identity, the theory of ethno-cultural and national stereotypes and the theory of intercultural interaction. To conduct an empirical study, a survey method (questionnaire) and the methodology of content analysis were applied. The research methods used in the study include comparative, historical, and contrastive methods. Results and scientific novelty. The concept «national identity» has no common interpretation because of complexity of the term and rather short history of its use in the Russian pedagogical studies; thus, the authors have clarified the definition. Structural and content-related components of the national identity of students have been stated: cognitive, emotional and behavioral, which correlate with national consciousness, national feelings and nationally-based behavior. Practical methods and technologies that ensure a balanced development of ethnocultural and national components of university students’ national identity have been revealed, systematized and structured: inclusive and activity-oriented approach (USA), inclusive-mosaic approach (Canada), inclusive and value-oriented approach (Australia). Both positive and negative elements are specified in the characteristics of these approaches. Essentially different axiological mental and spiritual values of Russia and West countries are emphasized. It is stated that the best positive foreign experience (e. g. education of an active citizenship, polycultural tolerance, abilities to protect own rights, to interact with representatives of various cultures avoiding conflicts, etc.) appears to be non-contradictory to the specifics of the Russian national system of values, and can become the material for the development of programmes and means selection for building of national identity of young people in the Russian higher education institutions. Practical significance. An integrated pedagogical complex mechanism for building the national identity of students in a multicultural society is revealed. It consists of appealing to the national consciousness, national feelings and the nationally-based behavioral components of national identity through the application of interactive and reflexive multicultural technologies. Interactive and reflexive multicultural technologies contain technologies aimed at transforming the content of education; technologies aimed at multicultural transformation of students’ personalities; technologies for modeling a multicultural environment. An illustrative list of indicators of national identity building as qualities of future experts is provided.
